“An invitation to find out more about farming in the Westmorland Dales”
Steve Dunning and his family are 3rd generation farmers at Raisgill Hall near Tebay. Together with his son Mike, they milk 180 dairy cows and have a flock of 450 breeding sheep. The farm totals 400 acres and there are grazing rights on the Howgill fells.
The Dunning family are kindly hosting a public farm walk organised by The Farmer Network at Bonny View House, Raisgill Hall, Tebay, CA10 3UB, on Monday 22nd August, from 3pm to 5pm.
Steve says “we are delighted to welcome everyone to our farm. You can come and learn about dairy farming, watch our cows being milked, and find out how we make silage for winter”.
