Epic Tractor Relay Comes to Bentham on Wednesday 28th June

Len’s Light Tractor Relay, which is going from John O’Groats to Lands’ End, over 2,000 miles, between 20th June and 20th July, visiting many livestock markets along the way, will be stopping at Bentham Auction Mart on Wednesday 28th June.
A special event will take place from 7pm onwards when the tractor, with a beacon of hope attached, will have pride of place in the BAM car park.
Andy and Lynda Eadon are leading the epic tractor relay to raise awareness of mental health issues in farming. They tragically lost their 22-year-old son Len to suicide in 2022. In his short life he touched the hearts of many, and Andy and Lynda want to encourage conversations about mental health and break down the stigmas which is attached to suicide. They have raised over £100,000 for charities that support farming and mental health.
Suicide is the main cause of death in the under 35s.
At Bentham, farmers will be offered the chance to sell a lamb for one of the chosen charities, Andy and Lynda will share their message in the sale ring and have a ‘book of hope’ for farmers to write messages in. The tractor relay will be stopping at Westminster to take their message to our politicians, and in Bentham we are privileged that they have also chosen to stop here.
